Theme: (A lot of) Sashiko threads for you.

We keep saying. "Thread Does Matter" in Sashiko. I receive many feedbacks from customers/friends with saying, "Yes, I got the reasons you are talking about" after they actually try our Sashiko thread. Thread is the biggest consumption in Sashiko. In order to enjoy Sashiko, we have to use some (quite) amount of thread.

Therefore, a Fukubukuro with a lot of threads are our first offer every year. For the year of 2021, the thread bag (so called"A Keiko Bag") will have 3 choice of its sizes.

4 skeins or more of Sashiko threads from the list below (Most likely, 3 regular Sashiko thread + small Sashiko thread). No Natural Dye Sashiko Thread will be included.

Dai - Big Size

9 skeins ore more of Sashiko threads from the list below, including 3 skeins or more of Natural Dye Sashiko Thread from our regular Natural Dye Selections. The bag will include some small Sashiko thread.

Tokudai - Super Size

13 skeins ore more of Sashiko thread from the list below, including 7 skeins or more of Natural Dye Sashiko Thread. Some Natural Dye will be one-of-a-kind that is already discontinued (Not even listed on the website). A package of needle & thimble will come with the bag. If you enjoy Sashiko with more than 10 skeins of thread, an extra needle may be good idea to have. The bag will include some small Sashiko thread.

Is it too big...? In 2020, I received a good feedback about this...

I was wondering if I coulld make a special offer to combine both thread & fabric for those who already have everything to Enjoy Sashiko. This bag contains Just thread and fabric, but A LOT of those. This is a Special Fukubukuro with Above Tokudai-Super Size Fukubukuro and a good amount of beautiful fabrics made in Japan. For this, I can only say, "I will communicate to you to make it above the retail price for sure". Since I am a Sashiko artisan myself, it is a dream to have a year amount of thread & fabric. I can only prepare a few of this bag (This Fukubukuro may be unavaiilable without further notice - once you receive the confirmation email, I will fulfill the order). No Supplies for transferring the pattern on the fabric" will be included. Just Thread & Fabric.

All of the Sashiko threads are from our store: that the best thread we recommend & we use in every day. The bag contains both small (40m) skeins/cards to regular (145m) skeins. Although the guranttedd numbers of skein will include both regular & small skeins, I will make sure that contents will exceed the retail value. Natural Dye Sashiko Threads are hand-dyed by Keiko Futatsuya.

I am happy to know your preference in colors. If you have any preference (ex. I like pinks), please write your preference when you check out the cart. Although I cannot promise I can pick up the color exactly as you wish, I will do my best to make it happen.

*A set of Needle & thimble will be available as "add-on" with the special price for Compact & Big size. The Super-big size bag will contain the needle & thimble.

*Sorry to be repetitive here. I just want to avoid any unfortunate misunderstanding. The total numbers of threads I promise (Nami - 4 / Dai - 9 / Tokudai - 13 includes both Regular Size Sashiko Thread (145 meter) and other length threads such as 40 meter small skeins. I want you to try as many kinds of thread as possible. So, it will be a mix of variation. I will promise you that the total of value (based on the retail price on this webstore) will be more than the one you would purchase them individually from this store.

*This bag is designed to be delivered in the USA. You may purchase the Fukubukuro with non U.S. shipping address with accepting the extra shipping fee. Terms and Conditions for Sashiko Fukubukuro

• The Fukubukuro Bags will be sold between January 2nd around 8~9 pm in EST to January 24th. The sales continue while the supply last, and it may be ended before the final date.
• The shipping will be made accordingly. However, unlike the other regular orders which we usually ship in 1~2 business day, the Sashiko Fukubukuro order will take longer than that (Please expect a few days to a few weeks to be shipped). I will do my best to complete the shipping as soon as possible.
• We will not accept any return or cancel after the shipment. If you would like to cancel the order, please let us know as soon as possible.
• The Sashiko Fukubukuro Bag may contain an item without original packaging. We will re-package and will send them in a nice condition.
• The item may be an item that was “returned” as the sellable condition. No second-hand item will be included (besides the vintage fabric).
• The price of Sashiko Fukubukuro (2021) include the US Domestic shipping fee. If your shipping address is outside of the U.S., you may purchase one with agreeing the extra shipping fee will be applied (I will contact you with the estimate with reasonable & safe pricing to deliver under the Covid-19). Depends on the shipping address, the package may be shipped from Japan.
