I'm happy to announce my new course online, "Introduction to Japanese Sashiko Stitching" on Domestika!

Unlike other Sashiko Class I offer, this course does NOT require you to have the specific supply & tools. You may use what you have already to enjoy this course. The list of supplies & tools are introduced in the Course & Support Page.

However, it is still my strong recommendation to use the supply & tools that we use daily basis. In order to make the process simple, I prepare this as a special package for the Domestika Sashiko Course participant, to have what I used in the course production.

(What is included)

• 1 skein of whole Sashiko Thread (White) - 145 meter
• 1 of Sashiko Thimble - a round dish shape on the palm, metal materials. (My Recommendation)
• 2 of Sashiko Needles
• 1 piece of Indigo Dye Cotton 100% Fabric (about 11”x 22” / about 28cm x 55cm) *1
• 1 Chalk Pencil (*It may be different from the one from the photo, but the same quality item).
• 1 Basting Thread (A Card or A Skein)
• 1 Paper Bobbin
• 1 Sample set of Chalk Paper & Mylar Paper (About 5” x 5.5” / about 12cm x 13cm - each).
• 1 wooden circle plate ( 2” diameter / 5 cm)
• 2 threaders
• 2 finger cots

*1 - With materials & tools above, you can make similar Indigo Dye Cotton swatches I made in the course. Depends on the size you would like to make, but the fabric you receive should be enough to cover 2~3 pieces.

**Shipping Fee has become quite costly, so I am afraid that shipping fee is NOT included in the price . The shipping fee will be calcurated based on the shipping address from the USPS database. For the U.S. Domestic Address, it will be delivered via USPS Ground Advantage. For the Non-US shipping address, it will be delivered via USPS International First Class OR Regular Air via Japan Post. Based on the shipping address, though, the package may be shipped from Japan. Based on the mailing address, I may be able to find the better shipping fee by using Japan Post. Please fill out this Google Form (Request) for the possible re-calculation. Please be advised that I cannot promise you the cheaper shipping fee by this request.
